About

The Cockburn Cricket Club in its current form has been in existence since the 1981/82 season. Although our history dates a lot further back than 1981, this is the year when the Oceans XI and Hamilton Cricket Clubs merged, and acts as the year in which we recognise the current club forming.

From humble beginnings, the club has morphed into one of the largest community cricket clubs in the country, among the only clubs to be consistently fielding 8 or more senior teams each week across both mens and womens competitions.

Our mens teams compete in grades ranging from the highly competitive SMCA First Grade through to the far more social SMCA One Day competitions, whilst our ladies play in the Perth Scorchers Womens League. As such, we welcome men and women of all ages and abilities from beginners through to seasoned veterans and top level cricketers to join the club at any point throughout the season. With so many teams, there is a suitable grade for every individual!

We also enjoy a strong working relationship with the Cockburn Junior Cricket Club and have consistently welcomed those junior players through the ranks, with our most recent First Grade premiership side in 2021/22 made up of a majority of home grown talent. Although based at Davilak Reserve in Hamilton Hill, we have players join us from a wide range of surrounding suburbs from the greater Cockburn and Fremantle region including:

  • Beaconsfield
  • Beeliar
  • Bibra Lake
